(Reuters) – Plans by Norway’s Telenor to withdraw from Myanmar by promoting its telecom operations there to a Lebanese agency have stalled after the junta indicated it favoured not less than part-ownership by an area firm, in line with folks acquainted with the matter.
Telenor, one of many greatest international traders in Myanmar, introduced in July it was promoting its native operations to M1 Group for $105 million, retreating from a rustic that has slid into chaos after a army coup.
