Xamarin IOS Shell Itemtemplate FlyoutIcon FontAwesome

I’ve an Xamarin Shell App. I pulled the code straight from MSDN for the Shell Itemtemplate and it really works nice an Android however on IOS the FlyoutIcon is just not showing. I’ve a sense it has to do with the truth that I’m utilizing FontAwesome for Icons. Nevertheless I’ve but to run throughout any documentation explaining why there could be a problem with IOS.
