I lately upgraded from Mojave to Catalina. After the improve, I seen a folder referred to as ‘Time Machine’ in my root listing. The folder has a cease signal on it, and I can’t entry it by way of Finder. See right here:
I can entry the folder by way of Terminal although, and that made me discover out that there is solely an outdated ‘*.inProgress’ file from 2013 in there. I suppose this folder may merely be deleted.
To take action, I already tried booting into Restoration, disabling SIP, rebooting into Mac OS, and dragging the folder into the Trash. That did not work. I attempted including permissions by way of Finder with SIP disabled. That did not work both. Once I tried a sudo chmod 777 in Terminal, it gave me chmod: Unable to vary file mode on /Time Machine: Learn-only file system, and that with SIP disabled.
Does anybody have any concepts as to the way to do away with this folder?
