Free Expertise for Lecturers: All About Cats and Canine

SciShow Youngsters has produced a whole lot of enjoyable and academic movies over the past six years. I’ve featured a few of these movies in weblog posts. A few of my favourite are the movies about animals together with these about cats and canine. Of their newest launch, SciShow Youngsters mixed a few of their earlier movies to create one lengthy video filled with fascinating info about cats and canine.

A few of the many issues viewers can be taught by watching Cats and Canine embody:

• How nicely cats can hear.
• The origins of cat domestication.
• The connection of canine and wolves.
• Why canine wiggle their nostrils independently.
• What defines a giant cat.
• The position of microbes in a canine’s coat.
• Why animals have tails.

Functions for Training

This video may very well be an ideal one to point out to elementary faculty college students as a part of a lesson about animals and their variations. Earlier than exhibiting the video to my college students I would most likely ask them to record any of the enjoyable info that they already learn about pet canine and pet cats. Then after they watch the video have them record a number of the new enjoyable pet info they realized.
