Vertex Manufacturing has agreed so as to add the Xerox ElemX 3D printing system to its Cincinnati facility to bolster its contract manufacturing providers.
The ElemX 3D printer is powered by Xerox’s liquid steel know-how, which it acquired by its takeover of Vader Programs in 2019. Liquid Steel sees non-specialty steel wire fed by a heated reservoir the place the steel is melted, earlier than materials droplets are ejected from an exterior coil to construct elements layer by layer.
