We all know that Google for a number of years has been telling us we have to have redirects in place for a 12 months or so for Google to have the location strikes stick. However what number of months is just too few, too little? John Mueller of Google mentioned that three-months for a redirect being on place will not be sufficient and you actually need to stick with it for a 12 months.
John mentioned on Twitter “I might suggest retaining the previous area title for longer, and undoubtedly retaining the redirects in place for at the least a 12 months. 3 months is just too quick for a site-move.”
Extra for the following time (you’ll be able to’t actually repair that now), I might suggest retaining the previous area title for longer, and undoubtedly retaining the redirects in place for at the least a 12 months. 3 months is just too quick for a site-move.

Google has mentioned it can attempt previous redirects for years and years, so if the redirect goes away, that may sign one thing new to Google.
So battle, battle to maintain these redirects up for at the least a 12 months.
