boot – Unintentionally modified permissions on /var

[ad_1]

So I did one thing silly and by accident modified the possession of all the /var folder recursively

chown -R username/var

I’ve seen a couple of different folks repair this by going to restoration mode or single person mode. Sadly once I attempt restoration/web restoration I get the message

no customers out there for authorization

And the one choice I’ve is erase mac

After I attempt single person mode repair_packages isn’t a factor anymore, and fsck can’t be run on the basis drive, and even when it might, because of T2 I can’t mount the drive as rw as a consequence of csrutil boot safety which might’t be disabled besides in restoration.

I actually don’t need to erase my Mac. Anything I ought to attempt?
