cellular machine administration – Terminal not retaining choice adjustments

[ad_1]

I’ve set a customized font on my default Terminal profile (regular terminal, not iTerm2 and so forth.) and every-time I restart my machine I have to reset the font.

The identical behaviour additionally happens if I reset the font following a boot, then stop the terminal, and re-open it.

To resolve issues on a brand new boot, I have to go and rename/delete the next file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist , after which re-launch Terminal.

Now if I set the font, and stop the appliance, the setting sticks!

possession of this file w. ls -l | grep Terminal I can see that the unique is owned by root, and the newly created one owned by my person/..

❯ ls -l | grep Terminal
-rw------- 1 root wheel 18022 5 Dec 13:06 com.apple.Terminal.Previous.plist
-rw------- 1 my.person employees 18073 3 Jan 13:10 com.apple.Terminal.plist

So, it will appear that possibly my com.apple.Terminal.plist is getting re-created at boot by the system? After I reboot, this file can’t be opened both, which is unusual, as whether it is locked, blocked, corrupt for enhancing, which is why most likely the font setting is not retained in there till it’s recreated.

Anybody have any ideas on why this is likely to be occurring in any respect? My machine is managed by JAMF, however the sysadmins haven’t any actual perception in to why this is likely to be occuring.
